Jeffrey Paul May is an Urban and Regional Planner and Principal of International Development and Planning, L.L.C. He has more than 20 years of experience working on projects involving community development, economic development, census data analysis and mapping, fair housing, fair lending, zoning, real estate development, non-profit management, and public participation.
Mr. May has served on the Fannie Mae Housing Impact Advisory Council, and the National Fair Housing Alliance’s Board of Directors. He has also been a member of the state of Louisiana and national capital chapters of the American Planning Association. Mr. May holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Southern University at New Orleans and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of New Orleans.
Michael D. Mitchell
Michael D. Mitchell has a longtime commitment to civil rights, and economic justice, having worked in the field of civil rights law enforcement for over 25 years. He currently is an instructor for the Patricia Roberts Harris National Fair Housing Training Academy. Mr. Mitchell has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Howard University School of Law, and is a frequent speaker at national and regional conferences.
Mr. Mitchell worked with the Equal Rights Center as the Director of Enforcement and the Fair Housing Council of Greater Washington, where he served as the Director of the Fair Housing Center of Suburban Maryland. Prior to coming to Washington, DC, he practiced law in the Oakland California, working both as a solo practitioner and serving as an Associate in the Law offices of Richard R. Wright.
Mr. Mitchell is an honors graduate of Morehouse College, and a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. Mr. Mitchell is an active member of the State Bar of California.
Roderick Dickerson
Roderick Dickerson has more than 15 years of experience in housing project management. He has managed staff and budgets to execute housing programs and construction compliance for single- and multiple-family housing developments and housing rehabilitation and assistance programs.
Mr. Dickerson has administered local government programs such as Developer Fee Rebate Program, Rental Rehabilitation Loan Program, Minor Home Repair, Housing Trust Fund, Mixed Income Housing, Turnkey III, and the City Policeman and Fireman Housing and Mortgage Assistance Program.
He has also coordinated Voucher and Section 8 Programs in conjunction with local housing authorities, and negotiated and monitored contracts and agreements with contractors and other professions to maximize the leveraging of public funds with private sources for developing housing units.
Mr. Dickerson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Southern University and Agricultural & Mechanical College.
